Hey there! Welcome to Indie Publishing News! I thought I’d take a moment to write this inaugural post and give you all an idea of what exactly I’m hoping to accomplish with this platform. I’m Jennifer Stowers and I’m an indie author and an SEO consultant with over a decade of experience in content marketing, SEO strategy & implementation, and website design.
When I first started on my author journey, I met a lot of amazing people who were all extremely happy to help me on my way. Their generosity and acceptance drives me to do the same. When I made the decision to step away from my corporate day job in 2021 to pursue writing and creating full-time, I just knew I wanted to use my skills to help other authors along the way. The past few years have been a whirlwind of expanding on what I already knew, testing, and trying to determine how I can help the author community. Now I’m here and ready to get this thing off the ground.
What is Indie Publishing News?
Indie Publishing News is my way of using my skillset to help indie authors. It’s my goal to create a platform for authors to learn about events and educational opportunities, share their new release, keep a finger on the indie publishing industry’s pulse, and so much more. We’re still in the early days of getting the ball rolling, but I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to bring my vision to life with your help.
As this resource grows and expands, it will be better able to serve the indie author community. It’s my hope to be able to provide a wealth of information from successful indie authors and other professionals in the industry. Everything from tips on craft, information on marketing, and even a few lessons on SEO specifically tuned for the unique needs of authors.
